The Hideaway Lodge has been a fixture in Central Newfoundland since the 1980’s.  For over 35 years, my father Rob Folkes helped guide and fulfill hunting dreams for 100’s of hunters from all over the world. I am very pleased to announce that the tradition of world class hunts, amazing food, accommodations and Newfoundland charm will  continue for years to come. After 20+ years of guiding with our family business I have now become sole proprietor of the operation and will operate the lodge and hunting operations from this point forward. It is a very exciting time in my life, my dream has always been to become a full-time outfitter and after miles of red tape, hard work, this day has finally come. In addition to our seasonal moose hunts we will be expanding to black bear hunts (Spring/Fall) and for the first time ever we will be opening the lodge during the winter months for snowmobilers and ATV groups in the summer. I am excited to form new partnerships and expand our outfitting portfolio as we move forward in growing the operation.
